Following 14 years in the trade working as a chef across Europe and the UK, Phil is returning to his home village and is excited to be running "The Local" with the help and support of partner Steph and their family.
Having studied at Birmingham College of Food Phil has worked in a variety of restaurants from a beach side bistro in Fuerteventura to a 2 rosette restaurant in South Wales and Le Caprice in London's West End.
He is excited to bring his knowledge and passion back to the pub where it all began, his first real job was behind the bar at the Hartley.
Steph has an extensive and varied experience in the customer service and hospitality industry, having spent plenty of time behind bars!
Over the years Steph has worked in all manner of pubs, clubs and bars and met Phil whilst working as a chalet host in the French Alps.
